It has been eight years since Batman vanished in to the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the higher good. For some time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.
But everything will change using the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, may be the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce from his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman might be no match for Bane.
On July 6, 2012, Warner Bros. held a unique IMAX screening from the film for more than one hundred reporters and critics. However, intricacies using the computer device synchronising the sound and picture forced the studio to postpone the screening by a day.[148] Children of men Rises premiered on July 16 at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in Nyc, New York.[8] The film was launched in Australia and Nz on July 19,[9] and was later released in North America and also the United Kingdom on July 20.[10][11]
